Bioscouring is a novel enzymatic process intented to target the non cellulosic impurities (pectins,fats,waxes,proteins etc) with specific enzymes.
Bioscouring enzymes aids in removing these hydrophobic impurities and improve the overall absorbency, whiteness of the fabric and gives better fabric strength retention as compared to conventional chemical processes. Pectinases, Lipases, Proteases etc are the major enzymes used in the bioscouring processes.
